Brian here,
In case you didn't know the AWESOME news, Adam is in remission. The journey that we have had to this point has been amazing and the excitement for us as a band and as friends is unexplainable.
I can honestly say that I've never failed at anything that I've made an honest and complete attempt to achieve. I can also say that I have never been a victim of bad circumstance. All of my family members have lived full lives without serious illness or tragedy. In short, I have had a pretty easy and fulfilling life to this point.
Without a doubt, this band has been through a lot since it's inception in 2007. Jesse's back injury forced us to find an alternate singer in Brad Wright. Then, when Brad got too busy with us and Nashville Crush we had to look elsewhere. We had a short stint with Ryan Rodriguez and finally settled on Adam Walls as our vocalist in FEB 2011. Adam breathed new life into the group with his positive attitude and hard work ethic. FINALLY...things were going exactly the way that the band and I had been preparing for them to go. We were getting the gigs that we wanted, we sounded better than ever before and once again, I had narrowly averted failure.
When I heard the news of Adam's cancer in late August 2011, I certainly had every textbook sign of grief...Denial, Bargaining, Depression etc... It was all there. Once I got past that witht the help of everyone, I never really worried for Adam...not once. Obviously I knew that this was serious and selfishly I knew it was cruddy timing as we cancelled our shows. But, I was so focused on the end result that he would overcome this and we would be back on top of our game again.
Well that time is now and Believe Me Brother...we are preparing like no other. We literally CANNOT WAIT to be performing for everyone again. 2012 will surely bring the best for all of us in BBM and our wonderfully supportive families. Please check our schedule regularly as we are rapidly adding dates. Most Noted should be Adam's first show back, Saturday, March 17th at the Lima, Ohio Theatre. The only place big enough to handle everyone who will be there!!!!
LOVE Y'ALL LOTS!!!!!
